Scientific name: Aulostomidae

The Aulostomidae family, commonly known as Trumpetfishes, consists of elongated, tube-mouthed fish found in coral reefs. They are adept at camouflage and can change color to blend with their surroundings. Trumpetfishes are ambush predators, often aligning themselves with vertical structures to surprise prey. They feed on smaller fish and crustaceans. In the aquarium, they require ample hiding places and a peaceful environment. Their unique shape and behavior make them fascinating additions to larger reef tanks.
