Genus

Common name: Berghia Nudibranch

Scientific name: Berghia

Berghia nudibranchs are a genus of sea slugs known for their appetite for Aiptasia, a type of pest anemone often found in reef aquariums. They are small, delicate creatures with a distinctive white and yellow coloration. Berghia are beneficial for natural Aiptasia control, but they require specific care. They should only be introduced to tanks with an Aiptasia problem, as they rely on these anemones for food. Without Aiptasia, Berghia will starve. They are sensitive to water quality and should be acclimated slowly to new environments.
