Ctenochaetus, commonly known as Bristletooth or Combtooth Tangs, are a genus of surgeonfishes known for their unique dentition adapted for grazing on algae. They are popular in the reefkeeping hobby for their algae-eating habits, helping to control algae growth in the aquarium. These tangs are generally peaceful and can coexist with a variety of other reef inhabitants. They require ample swimming space and a diet rich in marine algae and seaweed to thrive.
