Common name: Spider Conch

Lambis is a genus of large sea snails, commonly known as spider conchs, due to their elongated shell with finger-like projections. These gastropods are found in the Indo-Pacific region and are known for their striking appearance and size. They are herbivorous, feeding on algae and detritus. In the aquarium, they require ample space and a sandy substrate to mimic their natural habitat. They are generally peaceful and can be kept with a variety of tank mates that do not pose a threat to them.
