Scientific name: Mahidolia

Mahidolia is a genus of wrasses within the family Labridae, known for its vibrant coloration and intricate patterns. The most popular species in the aquarium trade is Mahidolia mystacina, commonly known as the Mystery Wrasse or Puzzle Wrasse. These wrasses are appreciated for their active behavior and their ability to help control pests like pyramidellid snails and flatworms. They are best kept in well-established aquariums with plenty of live rock for hiding and hunting. Compatibility with other tank inhabitants should be considered, as they can be territorial.
