Common name: Possum Wrasse

The genus Wetmorella includes small, cryptic wrasses known for their elongated bodies and calm demeanor, making them suitable for peaceful reef aquariums. They are often referred to as Possum Wrasses due to their shy nature. These fish are beneficial for controlling pests like pyramidellid snails and are best kept in tanks with plenty of live rock for hiding. They can be sensitive to water quality changes, so stable conditions are essential. Wetmorella species are not aggressive and can coexist with a variety of tank mates.
