Common name: Bristle Worms

Eunicida is an order of polychaete worms known for their bristly appearance. These worms are often found in reef aquariums, either introduced inadvertently or as part of the clean-up crew. They play a vital role in the ecosystem by breaking down detritus and aerating the substrate. Some species, however, can grow quite large and may become a nuisance by preying on small invertebrates or corals.
