Care

Surge Damselfish are relatively easy to care for. They thrive in well-established aquariums with plenty of rockwork and hiding spaces. These fish are omnivorous and will accept a variety of foods, including flake, frozen, and live foods. It's important to maintain good water quality and stable parameters to keep them healthy.

Reproduction

In the wild, Surge Damselfish are known to be territorial during breeding. They lay their eggs in nests which are guarded by the male until they hatch. In the aquarium, breeding can be a challenging endeavor, and it is not commonly pursued by hobbyists.

Habitat

Chrysiptera brownriggii is found in the Indo-Pacific region, from the eastern coast of Africa to the western Pacific Ocean. They are commonly associated with reef environments, particularly in areas with strong water movement, hence the name 'Surge Damselfish'.
