Genus

Common name: Bubble Coral

Scientific name: Arthuria

Arthuria is a genus of large polyp stony corals commonly known as Bubble Corals. They are appreciated for their unique, fleshy vesicles that inflate during the day, giving them a distinctive bubbly appearance. These corals are found in various shades of white, cream, and green. They are relatively hardy and can thrive in a range of lighting conditions, although moderate lighting and water flow are ideal. Bubble Corals are semi-aggressive and should be given space to expand without coming into contact with other corals. They host symbiotic zooxanthellae in their tissues, which assist in their nutritional needs through photosynthesis.
