Genus
Common name: Cherubfish
Scientific name: Baldwinella
Baldwinella is a genus of fish in the family Pomacanthidae, commonly known as angelfish. The genus is relatively new, having been established in 2020 to accommodate certain species previously classified under the genus Centropyge. Baldwinella species are small, colorful, and relatively hardy, making them popular in the reef aquarium hobby. They are known for their vibrant colors and patterns, which can add a dynamic visual element to a tank. These angelfish are generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards conspecifics. They require a well-established aquarium with plenty of hiding places and live rock for grazing.
