Common name: Peppermint Wrasse

Larabicus is a genus of wrasses known for their vibrant colors and active behavior. Members of this genus, such as the Peppermint Wrasse, are popular in the reefkeeping hobby for their ability to adapt to aquarium life and their pest control abilities, particularly against pyramidellid snails. They are generally peaceful and can coexist with a variety of other reef inhabitants. These wrasses require a well-established tank with plenty of hiding places and a sandy substrate for burrowing.
