Leander is a genus of shrimp known for the popular Peppermint Shrimp, often used in reef aquariums for their ability to control Aiptasia, a type of pest anemone. These shrimp are nocturnal and prefer to hide during the day. They are peaceful and can be kept with a variety of tank mates. Their diet consists of detritus, leftover food, and sometimes Aiptasia. They are a beneficial addition to a clean-up crew in a reef tank.
