Common name: Tube Worm

Scientific name: Protula

Protula is a genus of tube worms commonly known as Feather Duster Worms, belonging to the family Serpulidae. These worms are known for their beautiful, fan-like crowns which they use for filter feeding. They are popular in reef aquariums for their striking appearance and their role in nutrient export. Protula species are generally hardy and can adapt to a range of water conditions, but they do require stable water quality and moderate to high water flow to thrive. They are non-aggressive and can coexist with a variety of tank mates.
