Genus
Common name: Tooth Coral
Scientific name: Sandalolitha
Sandalolitha is a genus of large polyp stony corals commonly known as Tooth Coral. These corals are characterized by their distinctive, tooth-like skeletal structures and are often appreciated for their unique appearance in reef aquariums. They are generally hardy and can adapt to a range of lighting conditions, but they do best with moderate to high water flow to mimic their natural habitat. Tooth Corals are not aggressive and can be placed near other peaceful corals. They benefit from supplemental feedings of planktonic foods and should be given space to expand.
