Trachyphyllia species are solitary corals, often found in a variety of colors including red, green, pink, and blue. They require moderate lighting and water flow, and benefit from occasional feeding of meaty foods. They are symbiotic with zooxanthellae, which assist in their nutritional needs through photosynthesis.
