Common name: Side-gilled slugs

Scientific name: Pleurobranchomorpha

Pleurobranchomorpha, commonly known as side-gilled slugs, is an order of sea slugs that exhibit a unique gill structure located on the right side of their body, partially covered by the mantle. These nocturnal creatures are often found on reef structures and are known for their diverse and often striking colorations. They are not common in the aquarium trade, but some hobbyists may seek them out for their unusual appearance. When kept in captivity, they require a well-established tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding.
