Reeflings
Genus

Common name: Turbinaria

Scientific name: Turbinaria

Turbinaria is a genus of reef-building stony corals in the family Dendrophylliidae. These corals are known for their distinctive shapes, which can resemble scrolls, cups, or pagodas, hence their common names. They are found in a variety of colors, including yellow, green, and brown. Turbinaria species are relatively hardy and can be a good choice for intermediate reef aquarists. They prefer moderate lighting and water flow, and while they can tolerate a range of water conditions, stability is key to their health. They are also known for their symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae, which assist in photosynthesis and contribute to their nutritional needs.
